From a new website to a new department name, Mineral Resources Tasmania (MRT) sees exciting times ahead.
Industry and the community provided valuable feedback on our old website and MRT has been working hard to put that feedback into practice with the launch of the new site.
With a more contemporary look and feel, MRT delved into improving the navigation and content to enable easier access to geological information, maps, services, and much more.
You may notice more changes over the coming months as we continue to improve the site and provide valuable geoscientific information to industry and the community.
MRT is keen to hear your thoughts on the new site with feedback and suggestions welcome. If you would like to leave feedback, please click here.
As of 1 July 2014 MRT, under the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources (DIER), joined the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts (DEDTA) and Skills Tasmania in the all new Department of State Growth.
What does this mean for industry and the community? It means business as usual. There will be no interruption to services with this seamless transition from DIER to the Department of State Growth.
MRT aims to provide the best possible regulatory and geoscientific information for attracting mineral exploration and mining investment in Tasmania. This will continue and be enhanced under the new Department of State Growth.
