Exploration Drilling Grant Initiative (EDGI) - Round 4 Open for Applications

The Tasmanian State Government, through the Exploration Drilling Grant Initiative (EDGI), is offering grants for co-funded exploration drilling projects. MRT is now seeking proposals from applicants for a fourth round of EDGI projects, to be to be jointly funded by the successful applicants and the State Government. The projects will be undertaken during 2020-21 and completed by mid-2021.

Exploration Drilling Grant Initiative (EDGI) - Rnd 1 Data Now Available

Mineral Resources Tasmania has now released to Open File, Final Reports from the first round of EDGI co-funded drilling projects, completed in October 2019. Reports include all geological, geophysical, assay and hyperspectral data collected. Drill core is available for viewing, by appointment, at the Mornington Core Library.

Recommendation to Grant EL10/2019 - Rattler Hill

The Director of Mines intends to recommend to the Minister for Resources that he grant exploration licence EL10/2019 in the Rattler Hill area to Halona Holdings Pty Ltd + Ore Technics Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia). Anyone claiming an estate or proprietary interest within the application area may make comment or lodge a formal objection to the granting of the application prior to 30 May 2020.
