MRT News 2020 - February Release

Welcome to the February 2020 issue of MRT News. This issue contains information about the Director's intention to recommend granting of ELA13/2019 at Lake Murchison, ELA14/2019 at Lake Rowallan, and ELA5/2019 at Mount Kershaw, along with news of upcoming mineral shows and MRT's new printing of the much loved classic: Alluvial Gold in Tasmania, which has been out of print for some years now.

Recommendation to Grant EL5/2019 - Mount Kershaw

The Director of Mines intends to recommend to the Minister for Resources that he grant exploration licence EL5/2019 in the Mount Kershaw area to the Pieman Resources Pty Ltd. Anyone claiming an estate or proprietary interest within the application area may make comment or lodge a formal objection to the granting of the application prior to 21 March 2020.

MRT at the Launceston Gem and Mineral Show

The Launceston Gem and Mineral show was held on the weekend of November 16 and 17, 2019, in the Elphin Sports Centre. The weather and crowds were pretty good, some coming to buy treasures, and many just to look at the displays and trade stalls. Word has it that nearly 600 people came to see the displays and what was offered by 21 traders from Tasmania and interstate.

Minister Barnett Announces Successful 3rd Round EDGI Applicants
