New Tasmanian Digital Elevation Model

A beta version Digital Elevation Model (DEM) has been constructed for Tasmania by MRT geoscientists Dr Claire Kain and Colin Mazengarb, including the most recent LiDAR imagery captured during the 2018-19 flying season. With nearly 60% of the state now covered by LiDAR, the new dataset provides an increasingly clear view of the landscape that has many applications.

Thirty-Four Reports Moved to Open File

Mineral Resources Tasmania keeps exploration and mining records closed file (confidential) for a period of time defined under the Mineral Resources Development Act, 1995 (MRDA). Recommendation to Grant EL8/2019 - Gordon Dam

The Director of Mines intends to recommend to the Minister for Resources that they grant exploration licence EL8/2019 in the Gordon Dam area to the Hydro-Electric Corporation. Anyone claiming an estate or proprietary interest within the application area may make comment or lodge a formal objection to the granting of the application prior to 19 October 2019.

Recommendation to Grant EL2/2019 - Mangana
