This statewide data set is derived from the DEPOSITS textual data base of mineral deposit and construction material deposit locations in Tasmania.

The data can be supplied in Shapefile format, or as MapInfo import/export files on CD-ROM.

Maps

Computer generated maps of mineral deposit locations, together with 1:25 000 digital geology and mining tenements, are available. These maps are produced at a scale of 1:25 000. Geology (and topographical annotation) is only available on those maps that have been completed under the 1:25 000 digital geology project. Output is on an ink jet plotter and lamination of maps is recommended where outside use is envisaged.
