EXPLORATION RELEASE AREA 750

CETHANA

- 108 km2 -

Date for lodgement of applications: 23 November 2009

Mineral categories available for application under the ERA:
Category 1 - Metallic Minerals and Atomic Substances
and any other mineral category that may be available within the defined area.

This ERA is located at Cethana in northern Tasmania and results from the relinquishment of Exploration Licence 42/2006 by Mincor Zinc Proprietary Limited. The area is prospective for both Pb-Ag vein style and Au-base metal skarn/porphyry style mineralisation adjacent to Dolcoath Granite in the Round Mountain and Dolcoath Hill area. Significant deposits at Moina and Higgs mine are excluded from the application.

Data sets available for the area include high-quality 200 metre line spacing airborne magnetic and radiometric data collected under the Western Tasmanian Regional Minerals Program, regional gravity data, and 1:25 000 scale digital geology and associated digital databases. A 170.4 kilometre line VTEM survey was recently flown over the area by Mincor.

Due to scale limitations some tenements and areas not subject to the Mineral Resources Development Act,
and therefore unavailable for tender, may not be depicted in the diagram. This area excludes 50 ha mining leases.

The exploration release system offers newly available ground at a nominated date, at least two months after expiry, revocation or surrender of a licence. During that time the area is unavailable for application.

After the end of the moratorium period applications may be lodged, for Exploration Licences or Mining Leases, by courier, registered mail or in person for the whole or part of the ERA. Applications for ERA 750 may be made on 23 November 2009 and up to four working days thereafter. All applications received during this five day period will be treated as simultaneous and have equal priority.

Applications with equal priority will be considered and decided on merit. If no applications are received during the five day application period the area becomes open ground for 'over the counter' application.

APPLICATIONS

Application forms may be obtained from the Registrar of Mines or downloaded from the MRT website.
