Annotation
The reservoir site is underlain by a quartz sandstone-siltstone sequence of rocks assigned to the Permian period. On the then current information, blasting would be required below 2 m and the stability of 7 metre cuts would be unlikely to cause problems. The proximity of a fault was thought also to be of little concern.
