Subsequent to investigations into the groundwater potential on Lot 209, Dolphin Sands subdivision, Nine Mile Beach the Departmental drilling rig fitted with hollow augering equipment was used to sink an explanatory bore on the property. The water table was intersected at 3 m and fresh water was present to a depth of at least 15 m. No salt water contamination was observed.
