Summary
This Category 1 ERA results from RL1/2008 Mariposa Creek and EL20/2002 Zeehan previously held by Australian Hualong Pty Ltd
ERA 1079 covers 66sq. km, located one kilometre southeast of the township of Zeehan in the West Coast Municipality. The Murchison Hwy, Zeehan Hwy and Henty Rd provide access to ERA 1079. The Emu Bay Railway and Murchison Hwy connect the township of Zeehan with the Port of Burnie, located approximately 140km to the north.
The geology of the ERA area comprises Neoproterozoic sediments (Oonah Fm), Cambrian sedimentary sequences (Tyndall Group) and Cambrian mafic intrusions, sediments and carbonates of the Wurawina Supergroup (including Owen Group sediments, Gordon Group carbonates and siliciclastic sediments, and Eldon Group sediments). Known mineralisation in the ERA area is dominantly lead-zinc-silver (Zn-Pb-Ag) associated with the intrusion of Devonian granites. Base metal mineralisation is mostly known from the Gordon Group (particularly the Gordon Limestone units), and potential exists for mineralisation within carbonate horizons within the Neoproterozoic Oonah Formation. Known mineralisation styles include carbonate-replacement sulphides, vein- and stockwork hosted sulphides and deposition of base metal sulphides along stratigraphic contacts. Ordovician carbonate-replacement mineralisation associated with basinal brines also occurs locally (ie Greives Siding) and is an additional target mineralisation style in the local area.
There are forty-four documented metallic mineral occurrences and prospects within the ERA area, most of which remain untested by modern exploration methods.
Previous work at the Mariposa prospect has defined a JORC (2004) compliant inferred resource of 573,737 tonnes at 5.09% Pb, 2.02% Zn and 62 g/t Ag. Historical production included 1274 tonnes which resulted in the production of 412 tonnes of lead and 21,250 ounces of silver.
A data package for ERA 1079 Dundas Creek is available for download from the MRT Document Search database, Report Number TCR 18_7863.

The exploration release system offers newly available ground at a nominated date, at least two months after expiry, revocation or surrender of a licence. During that time the area is unavailable for application.
After the end of the moratorium period applications may be lodged, for Exploration Licences or Mining Leases, by courier, registered mail or in person for the whole or part of the ERA. Applications for ERA1079 may be made on 19/02/2018 and up to four working days thereafter. All applications received during this five day period will be treated as simultaneous and have equal priority.
Applications with equal priority will be considered and decided on merit. If no applications are received during the five day application period the area becomes open ground for 'over the counter' application.
