RGC Exploration Pty. Limited
TYNDALL RANGE, Tasmania, Ground magnetic survey, June 1994.
DATE: Survey commenced on 11th June 1994 (day number 162)
INSTRUMENTS: 3x G856, instruments 2 (50286) and 3 (50287) were survey
instruments, instrument 1 (27276) was base station.
BASE STATION: Sampled at 10 seconds
SURVEY: Lines spaced nominally 400 metres apart, readings at 5 metres.
        Line number 620 is 6200N, 640 is 6400N etc.
SENSOR HEIGHT: All instrument sensors mounted on 2.0 metre poles.
DATA PROCESSING: Program INFIELD used to make base corrections. Data from
survey instrument number 3 (50287) had 1.5nT added to
compensate for errors between the two instruments.
The base value adopted for drift corrections was 62280.0nT.
DATA FILES: Survey data in files named ###_n.STN where n is 2 or 3, the
number of the instrument. Base station files are named ###.BAS.
For both file types ### is the day number of the survey.
Located and drift corrected data is in the file TUNLHILL.LOC
OTHER INFO:
FILE FORMAT: The corrected located data is in the file MAG.LOC. Each record
             has the following format:

             1 to 4: LINE = Survey line number, A4
             5: 1X
             6 to 13: GRIDE = Grid easting, F8.1
             14 to 21: GRIDN = Grid northing, F8.1
             22: 1X
             23 to 30: EAST = AMG easting, F8.1
             31 to 39: NORTH = AMG northing, F9.1
             40: 1X
41 to 47: DCMAG Drift corrected mag, F7.1
             48: 1X
             49 to 55: EDMAG Editted mag, F7.1

DATA PLOTTING: The data are plotted as profiles of total magnetic intensity.
At 1:1000 scale, the data have not been editted. A base value
of 62200 nT has been used for the profile plots. Vertical
                scale is 40 nT/cm.
