New Map Viewer and ArcGIS REST service

Mineral Resources Tasmania has launched a new map viewer designed to work across mobile as well as desktop devices. The new viewer includes symbolised geology, a revised presentation of tenement data, the ability to filter various layers (exploration licences, bore holes, mineral occurrences and samples) and query current and historic tenements. Data downloads are not yet supported, but these are still available from the existing map viewer and also from the digital data section of this website.

All the data within the new map viewer is also now available via an ArcGIS REST service, which allows users to add the data into their own GIS systems (where supported) – see the link in our digital data section.
