11 Projects Receive Second Round EDGI Funding

On May 15th, Minister for Resources, Sarah Courtney announced that eleven successful projects will share over $486,000 in grants from the second round of Exploration Drilling Grant Initiative (EDGI) funding. EDGI is a Tasmanian Government initiative to promote greenfields drilling in Tasmania, with $2M of funding over four years.

This second round of funding follows on from over $382,000 of grants awarded to eight Round 1 projects. Most Round 1 projects are in progress or have been completed.

Successful Round 2 projects are listed below and their locations are shown on the map. Projects include targets based on new exploration concepts or geological models and cover a wide range of commodities.

A third round of EDGI project proposal applications is expected to be called later in 2019.
