MRT attends International Mining And Resources Conference + Expo (IMARC)

MRT showcased Tasmania’s mining and exploration industry at the International Mining and Resources Conference + Expo (IMARC), held in Sydney from 21–23 October 2025. MRT hosted its own booth for the first time at this major industry event, aiming to promote Tasmania’s rich mineral landscape to a broad national and international audience.

IMARC is one of Australia’s most significant mining industry events, and one of the largest of its kind globally. It brings together over 11,000 attendees from more than 120 countries and includes mining leaders, government ministers, investors and technology innovators.

The MRT booth featured a striking new map showcasing current mining operations, exploration projects, processing facilities, and zones of high mineral prospectivity across Tasmania. The map drew widespread attention and praise, with many delegates complimenting its clarity and visual appeal.

Representing MRT at the event were Tasmania’s Chief Geologist Rebecca Sproule and Director of Mines Alastair Morton, who engaged with industry leaders, government representatives and international visitors. A standout moment was Rebecca Sproule’s well-received presentation on Critical Minerals in Tasmania, which highlighted the state’s mineral wealth and advantages for future investors.

The booth also attracted high-profile visitors, including His Excellency Khalid Al Mudaifer, Saudi Arabia’s Vice-Minister for Mining Affairs. His visit, along with the positive feedback received throughout the event, affirmed MRT’s growing reputation for excellence in resource mapping and visual communication.

IMARC 2025 provided a valuable opportunity for MRT to showcase Tasmania’s mineral potential, foster new partnerships, and contribute to key discussions on innovation, sustainability, and investment in the mining sector.
