New Prospecting Access Layer Available

A map layer designating areas available for prospecting to those holding a prospecting licence has been added to the map viewer accessed via this website.
The new layer shows areas of the state in which prospecting can be undertaken without requiring permission from a land manager. It also clearly shows the areas closed to prospecting, and the areas within which permission must be sought prior to prospecting taking place.
The layer is accessed by opening the map viewer, clicking the LAYERS tab on the right of the screen and selecting Add Layer +.
A Manage Layers menu will appear. From there, scroll down to Prospecting and Fossicking and select Prospecting Access by clicknig the green + to open the boundaries and zoom to the prospecting locaiton of choice. The layer may take a few moments to load up depending upon your internet speed and computer configuration.
