Web Feature Service

Mineral Resources Tasmania has an Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant web map service  for connecting to publicly available spatial data. Web Feature Services (WFS) use specified standards and allow web map information to be requested using URLs or displayed in desktop applications. The capabilities link below provides information on how to access individual data layers and can be copied and pasted into a desktop application.

WFS Version 1.0.0, 1.1.0, 2.0.0

Coordinate Systems: The majority of layers are presented in EPGS:4283 – GCS_GDA_1994, with a small number in EPSG:28355 – GDA_1994_MGA_Zone_55.
