This dataset comprises areas available for resource extraction under the State-wide planning scheme, which are also considered to be highly prospective for all Categories of Mineral as defined in the Mineral Resources Development Act 1995. Data is in GDA94 - long./lat. and is available to view using the Web Map Viewer (please allow a few moments for data to display) or download using the links below:

Strategic Prospectivity Zones are recognised areas of high mineral prospectivity within Tasmania that have been defined under the Mining (Strategic Prospectivity Zones) Act 1993.
